Unlike other beaches, California's Venice beach is known for much more than a natural pretty scenery. A cornocopia of unique people occupy the streets, and there is always something to see. It is a well known tourist attraction for travelers all over the world. People-watching is probably the most significant form of entertainment here, unlike any other place in the world, the free-spirited and laid back atmosphere is crammed with street performers, interesting characters left and right; certain travelers have entitled Venice Beach a virtual carnival running all year and no admission charge. The beach itself is wide and beautiful and is said to have a stunning sunset view. Water is great for swimming, with waves that aren't too large. On the beach you'll enjoy seeing palm trees, murals and graffiti art all around the boardwalk, with sailboats attracting your eyes to the distant waters. A public gym takes up space on the beach as well as actively populated basketball courts all around the area, where the movie "White Men Can't Jump" was filmed, along with plenty of other famous movie scenes. The homes located on the beach are gorgeous to see as well! You won't forget the astounding arcitecture that you see at Venice Beach. Every step taken is a new artist, musician, or different traditions and customs of a wide variety of ethnicities including a major rastafari population. From Pakistani and middle eastern rugs adorned over vans to stands selling jewelry or fantastic art, a walk or bike ride through the area will constantly have things distracting the eyes ears and even nose.
