Playa del Carmen is a great family getaway thats clean, safe, and children-friendly. The beach is protected by lifeguards, police and navy patrols, and is regularly cleaned up of any seaweed or garbage that floats up. September is when the water is warmest. Swimming is like taking a warm bath, but the water gets choppy during hurricane season between September and December. There are plenty of resorts to stay in, so choose between the experience of having a room facing the beach, or taking the economical route by staying in a hotel close to the beach instead of on it. The white sand is coarse like salt and gets very hot during the day unless your walking along the water, and gives off a bright glare from the sun, so when vacationing to Playa Del Carmen, do not forgot your sandals and sunglasses! |
